Course Details

Intermediate First Aid (with CPR-C):

Intermediate First Aid offers comprehensive training that covers all aspects of first aid and CPR. In this 16-hour course, you will obtain a more in-depth understanding of first aid, including the legal implications of first aid treatment, spinal injuries, heat or cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, chest injuries, and medical emergencies in addition to all the elements of Basic First Aid.

Successful completion of the Intermediate First Aid (with CPR-C) course requires active participation, demonstration of skills, and a score of 70% or higher on a multiple-choice test of 50 questions.

Prerequisite:

There are no prerequisites to participate in an Intermediate First Aid course.

Certification and Candidate Recognition: 

The Intermediate First Aid certification is considered current in New Brunswick for 3 years. Successful candidates will receive a certification card. In order to recertify, candidates must take the same course (Intermediate First Aid with CPR-C)
